The Shift From Google to Facebook For Paid Advertising

Recently there has been a lot of buzz in the internet marketing community about the significance of Facebook to marketing.
In particular, the role that Facebook advertising is taking in the new face of pay per click advertising.
For many years now, Google has been the key player in the industry, however, with all of the secrecy and heavy handedness that has become Google's persona, marketers have been challenged to fine a new venue for spending their advertising dollars.
The truth is, Facebook has taken up that challenge.
They have created an incredibly intuitive marketing platform for businesses.
The users, themselves, choose which ads will be shown on their screens by logging their demographics without really knowing they are doing so.
Every time a Facebook user posts that they "like" something, Facebook now adds that to their permanent profile page.
This provides Facebook with ever changing and always up-to-date demographics which you, as a marketer, can use to your advantage when developing your pay per click advertising campaigns.
More and more marketers are seeing this as a brilliant alternative to AdWords and, in fact, many have already made the shift and are spending 100% of their advertising dollars in this new platform.
Although Google may still own the market share for search traffic, sites like Facebook and Twitter have taken over the place of being the most widely used service online.
As a business owner, if you do not have social media marketing in your marketing strategy, now would be the time to jump on the bandwagon.
The internet and internet trends are ever changing.
You must keep up with the trends to take full advantage of growing your business.
